Across every populated alternative in the source, SRW conventional ratings run from 13,700 to 25,000 lb, SRW fifth-wheel ratings from 13,500 to 27,400 lb and SRW gooseneck ratings from 13,600 to 27,600 lb. F-350 DRW conventional ratings run from 17,700 to 28,000 lb, fifth-wheel ratings from 17,400 to 35,000 lb and gooseneck ratings from 17,600 to 38,000 lb. These boundaries do not create one universal rating. Direct answer: 2025 F-350 capacity is one exact matrix cell

Choose SRW or DRW first, then conventional, fifth-wheel or gooseneck. The maximum for one wheel arrangement or hitch method cannot be assigned to another. Ford's populated alternatives produce six different spans, each with its own upper-end configuration.

The 38,000-lb headline belongs only to an F-350 DRW Regular Cab 4x2 with the high-output 6.7L diesel, 4.10 axle and 45,600-lb GCWR using a gooseneck. The paired fifth-wheel result is 35,000 lb, and F-350 conventional ratings peak at 28,000 lb.

The 2025 SRW selector has eight body columns

The SRW pages publish Regular Cab 4x2 and 4x4 at 141.6 inches, SuperCab 4x2 and 4x4 at 164.2 inches, and Crew Cab 4x2 and 4x4 with 159.8- or 176.0-inch wheelbases. The 159.8-inch Crew Cab uses the 6.75-foot box; every other listed SRW body uses the eight-foot box.

Unlike 2024, neither 148.0-inch short-box SuperCab column appears. A truck described only as SuperCab is therefore unresolved until wheelbase and box are known; this guide does not recreate either missing short-box branch from a prior year.

The 2025 F-350 DRW selector has only four body columns

On the combined F-350/F-450 DRW page, the F-350 owns four columns: Regular Cab 4x2, Regular Cab 4x4, Crew Cab 4x2 and Crew Cab 4x4. Regular Cab uses the 141.6-inch wheelbase, Crew Cab uses 176.0 inches and all four use the eight-foot box.

No F-350 DRW SuperCab column appears in the 2025 guide. The four columns to the right belong to F-450. Keeping those ownership boundaries prevents an F-450 rating or a removed 2024 SuperCab result from entering the F-350 table.

Match engine output, axle and GCWR before body style

The selector distinguishes 6.8L and 7.3L gas engines, the standard-output 6.7L turbo diesel and the high-output 6.7L turbo diesel. The two 6.7L names are not interchangeable. Axle ratio and GCWR identify a row before cab, drive and box identify the final cell.

A GCWR value is a row selector, not maximum trailer weight. It caps the loaded truck and trailer together. Use the same-row trailer cell and then verify GVWR, both GAWR limits, tire and wheel limits, hitch label and loaded scale weights.

Standard-output diesel DRW fifth-wheel and gooseneck ratings

Each body cell is fifth-wheel / gooseneck. The 3.55 row uses 40,000-lb GCWR and the 4.10 row uses 43,900 lb. Package 68F alternatives occur only in the Regular Cab 4x2 position and remain paired by hitch method.

The 4.10 row shows why a family headline is incomplete: fifth-wheel is 35,000 lb throughout, while gooseneck varies from 35,300 to 36,500 lb across the printed alternatives.

High-output diesel DRW fifth-wheel and gooseneck ratings

The high-output 3.55 row uses 40,500-lb GCWR. Its F-350 gooseneck cells run from 31,800 to 32,900 lb, below the higher-axle row even though the engine name is the same.

With the 4.10 axle and 45,600-lb GCWR, Regular Cab 4x2 reaches 38,000 lb gooseneck and 35,000 lb fifth-wheel. Crew Cab 4x4 is 35,900 lb gooseneck and 34,900 lb fifth-wheel. The maximum cannot be moved across those body positions.

Gas DRW fifth-wheel and gooseneck ratings preserve blanks

Gas rows use the same fifth-wheel / gooseneck order. Ford prints no Crew Cab 4x2 pair in any of these rows, so the source dash is retained rather than populated from Crew Cab 4x4 or the 2024 matrix.

Package 68F produces a marked Regular Cab 4x2 alternative in the 6.8L row only. The 7.3L cells do not receive that package condition by inference.

Package 68F remains a cell-specific alternative

Ford identifies 68F as the Heavy Duty Payload Package. On the DRW page it changes marked Regular Cab 4x2 cells, but not by one reusable amount: standard-diesel conventional changes from 24,800 to 18,200 lb, while the 3.55 bed-mounted pair changes from 32,300/32,400 to 32,400/32,600.

The 6.8L gas conventional cell changes from 18,700 to 18,200 lb, while its bed-mounted pair changes from 18,500/18,600 to 18,700/18,900. Confirm the build record and exact printed branch instead of applying a package-wide subtraction.

Package 535 and 40,000 lb remain F-450-only

The combined DRW page also contains four F-450 columns. Package 535 is Ford's 40K Gooseneck Tow Package, and the 40,000-lb result sits under an F-450 Regular Cab column. It is neither an F-350 package nor an F-350 rating.

The neighbouring 38,600-lb pairs and 30,000-lb conventional cells are also F-450-owned. This page excludes them except to explain the boundary; the highest F-350-owned gooseneck cell is 38,000 lb.

Tailgate height affects setup but does not grant capacity

Ford publishes a 57.9–59.7-inch tailgate-height band for F-350 SRW 4x4 and 58.0–59.7 inches for F-350 DRW 4x4. Tremor-equipped pickups use a higher 59.5–61.3-inch band. These are configuration ranges, not a measurement for an unseen truck.

Measure the actual truck at its operating load and check trailer level, bed-rail clearance, tailgate clearance and hitch geometry. Suspension changes, tires and installed equipment can affect fit without increasing any truck, axle, tire, hitch or trailer rating.

Payload and rear GAWR can govern before trailer weight

Ford's planning guidance uses 10% of loaded conventional trailer weight for tongue load and 15% for fifth-wheel or gooseneck pin load. Fifteen percent of 35,000 lb is 5,250 lb; 15% of 38,000 lb is 5,700 lb. These are load-budget illustrations, not permissions to tow those amounts.

Pin or tongue load shares carrying allowance with occupants, cargo, tools, auxiliary fuel, options and hitch hardware. Compare loaded front axle, rear axle, total truck and combination scale weights with the truck labels, selected matrix cell and installed-component ratings; the lowest applicable limit governs.

Fifth-wheel and gooseneck numbers are not interchangeable

Ford prints separate bed-mounted results for each hitch method. Even where two values match, the cell does not authorize switching hardware or applying a neighbouring method's larger rating. The 38,000-lb top row is the clearest example because its fifth-wheel partner remains 35,000 lb.

Verify the installed hitch label, mounting system and trailer limits. A published truck rating cannot raise the capacity of the hitch, kingpin, coupler, safety equipment, tires, axles or trailer structure.

Conventional ratings still require receiver and load checks

The conventional tables state the maximum trailer result for a matched truck configuration; they do not establish remaining payload or receiver capacity on a particular pickup. Tongue load, hitch equipment and cargo all add to truck and axle load.

Confirm the receiver and ball-mount labels, trailer tongue-weight limit and any weight-distributing-hitch instructions. Reweigh after loading and keep every axle, tire, vehicle, receiver and trailer component below its own limit.

Build an exact 2025 configuration record

Confirm that the vehicle is a 2025 F-350 pickup, not F-450, chassis cab, incomplete vehicle or altered body. Record SRW or DRW; 6.8L gas, 7.3L gas, standard-output 6.7L or high-output 6.7L diesel; axle; GCWR; cab; drive; wheelbase; box and hitch method.

Then resolve tire alternatives, Tremor and package 68F using the VIN-linked build record and physical labels. If any selector is unknown, keep the rating unresolved instead of substituting a nearby body, an absent SuperCab column or a previous model year.

Use Canadian labels and loaded scale weights

The evidence is Ford Canada's exact-model-year towing guide, but a table cannot certify an unseen Canadian VIN. Photograph the Safety Compliance Certification Label and tire/loading label, obtain the original build record, inspect alteration history and read the installed hitch label.

Why the 2024 matrix cannot fill 2025 gaps

The 2024 SRW selector has ten columns, including both 148.0-inch short-box SuperCab positions; the 2025 selector has eight. The 2024 combined DRW page has six F-350 body columns, while the 2025 page has four and removes SuperCab entirely.
