A 2024 Ford F-350 requires an equipment-specific reliability assessment, even when its powertrain appears familiar from the previous year. The primary records reviewed here distinguish a water-related tailgate camera repair from a software camera action and a separate trailer-module communication problem. Exact 2024 towing tables also contain configuration blanks that must not be filled with 2023 values. Identify the actual 2024 powertrain and body
Ford Canada's 2024 guide lists four engine branches: the 6.8-litre gas V8 at 405 hp and 445 lb-ft, the 7.3-litre gas V8 at 430 hp and 485 lb-ft, the standard 6.7-litre diesel at 475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft, and the high-output 6.7-litre diesel at 500 hp and 1,200 lb-ft. A Power Stroke badge does not distinguish the two diesel outputs.
A ten-speed automatic is standard across the listed models, with 4x4 included on XLT and above. Record the cab, wheelbase, box, SRW or DRW layout, axle and engine from build evidence before comparing capabilities or repair history. A receipt saying 'camera updated' is too ambiguous to reconcile both actions. Request the campaign number, repaired components or module, repair date and current VIN status. 26C10 / 26V104 concerns loss of communication between the integrated trailer module and vehicle, potentially affecting trailer brake lights, turn signals or braking. The current remedy is a software update through a dealer or over the air. It is a separate action from both camera campaigns.
Before using a truck for towing, reconcile that campaign with the actual trailer connector, controller and trailer. Have a qualified professional verify lighting and braking function with the connected trailer. A working camera or a dashboard trailer icon does not demonstrate correct brake operation.
The exact-model U.S. query returned three records during this review. That is not evidence of only three possible faults, a lower failure rate than another year, or a clear Canadian VIN. 2024 SRW and DRW ratings: preserve tires, packages and source blanks
For a high-output diesel SRW Regular Cab 4x4, 141.6-inch wheelbase, eight-foot box, 3.55 axle and 35,200-lb GCWR, Ford's 2024 chart lists 26,000 lb fifth-wheel and 27,400 lb gooseneck in the specified 18-/20-inch all-terrain-tire position. The all-season-tire positions differ. The rating cannot be selected from engine and model alone.
The high-output Tremor SRW Crew Cab 4x4 short-box branch, 159.8-inch wheelbase, 3.55 axle and 31,200-lb GCWR, is 23,000 lb for fifth-wheel and gooseneck, but 18,200 lb conventional. It must not inherit an F-250 Tremor result or a non-Tremor F-350 row.
For the high-output DRW Regular Cab 4x2, 141.6-inch wheelbase, eight-foot box, 4.10 axle and 45,600-lb GCWR, the entries are 35,000 lb fifth-wheel and 38,000 lb gooseneck. The corresponding Crew Cab 4x4, 176.0-inch wheelbase, is 34,700 lb and 35,800 lb respectively. The 40,000-lb packaged gooseneck result belongs to an F-450.

The 2024 Canada/U.S. manual, edition 202307, directs readers to Ford's online maintenance-schedule service for scheduled intervals. The retrieved service requires a VIN and mileage; no candidate-specific result was established in this review. It therefore does not transfer the previous year's oil or fuel-filter intervals into 2024.
The manual itself does provide monthly owner checks. These include engine oil level, interior and exterior light operation, tires including the spare, and washer fluid. Diesel-only entries include the air-filter restriction gauge, fuel/water separator and clear tailpipe holes and slots. Drain the separator when necessary or when indicated, following the correct manual procedure; a monthly check is not a monthly replacement instruction.
For the rear camera, the manual describes it as a reversing aid used with the mirrors, not complete coverage. It warns about limited views near or below the bumper and an incorrect camera position when the tailgate is ajar. Trailer connection can also change guide-line behaviour on some vehicles.
