Fifth-wheel and gooseneck are combined except where Chevrolet separates them

Chevrolet titles page 2 as fifth-wheel or gooseneck and normally prints one shared value. This guide therefore does not manufacture two ratings from one cell. The only separation comes from Chevrolet's own footnote on the CC30903 Duramax DRW row: 32,000 lb remains the fifth-wheel value and 35,500 lb is the gooseneck value.

The coupling type also changes load placement. Chevrolet recommends 10–15 percent tongue weight for conventional towing and 15–25 percent kingpin weight for fifth-wheel or gooseneck towing. Those planning ranges still have to fit the truck's payload, rear axle, tires, wheels and hitch components.

The L8T 6.6L gas engine uses a 3.73 axle and a 24,000-lb GCWR branch in this chart.
