Repeated alternatives require factory evidence
A 4x4 Crew Cab at 159.7 inches can appear in three rows. Depending on engine column, Ford publishes 10,000-, 10,300-, 10,500-, 10,600-, 11,000- or 11,100-lb GVWR branches with different payloads. Cab and engine do not select the row by themselves.

Maximum payload and remaining payload are different

Curb weight does not close the load calculation
Ford defines base curb weight using a full fuel tank and standard equipment while excluding passengers, cargo and optional equipment. The 2026 F-250 curb-weight matrix therefore supplies useful configuration context, not the exact present empty weight of an optioned truck.

Scale the truck in the condition it will work
A scale captures the truck as presented: fuel, driver, passengers, tools, bed equipment, hitch and cargo all matter. Obtain total truck weight and separate front- and rear-axle weights where the scale supports them.
Compare the measurements with GVWR, each GAWR, tire limits and the payload budget. Leave operating margin for cargo and passenger changes instead of treating one lightly loaded scale ticket as permanent capacity.
Options and upfits reduce the available budget
