Start with pickup identity and rear-wheel arrangement, then match the engine, cab, bed and 2WD or 4WD row. Keep the row's GVWR and GCWR attached and read only the conventional, fifth-wheel or gooseneck column that matches the installed towing system.
The 43,900-lb GCWR appears only once. Other Duramax dually rows use 40,000 lb, Duramax SRW rows use 29,700 lb and all gas rows use 24,000 lb. GCWR remains a loaded-combination ceiling, not a replacement trailer rating.
Duramax SRW: eight complete configurations
The diesel SRW branch contains eight rows. Crew Cab configurations carry 20,000-lb conventional ratings, while Regular and Double Cab rows carry 14,500 lb. In-bed ratings range from 21,040 to 21,500 lb and preserve the AT4 and Denali qualifications described below.

Duramax DRW: six complete configurations
Every diesel dually row is 20,000 lb conventionally. The Regular Cab 2WD is the sole split-hitch maximum: 32,000 lb fifth-wheel and 36,000 lb gooseneck with the Max Trailering Package. The other five rows show equal in-bed figures from 31,180 to 31,760 lb.
The maximum row also carries the only 43,900-lb GCWR. Moving its gooseneck figure to a 40,000-lb-GCWR row would erase a configuration condition GMC prints explicitly.

The gas dually rows are not one repeated rating. Conventional figures span 16,240 to 16,800 lb and the in-bed figures span 16,120 to 16,800 lb. Four rows have a conventional value above the fifth-wheel or gooseneck value, so the larger number cannot replace the correct hitch column.

AT4 and Denali footnotes narrow selected rows
On Duramax SRW Crew Cab standard-bed 4WD, the 21,300-lb base in-bed figure becomes 21,130 lb for AT4 or 21,010 lb for Denali; payload becomes 4,016 or 3,897 lb. On the long-bed 4WD row, the 21,040-lb base becomes 21,010 lb for AT4 or 20,890 lb for Denali; payload becomes 4,050 or 3,931 lb.

Powertrain evidence identifies the correct branch
GMC lists the 2022 6.6L Duramax at 445 hp and 910 lb-ft with an Allison ten-speed and 3.42 final drive. The 6.6L gas V8 is 401 hp and 464 lb-ft with a six-speed and 3.73 final drive. Powertrain identity helps select a branch but does not override rear-wheel arrangement, cab, bed, drive, GCWR, trim or hitch conditions.
