Use GM model codes to prevent cab-and-bed mix-ups

The order guide identifies short-bed Crew Cab as TC10543 or TK10543, standard-bed Crew Cab as TK10743, standard-bed Double Cab as TC10753 or TK10753, and Regular Cab as TC10703 or TK10703 with the standard bed and TC10903 or TK10903 with the long bed. The drive identity and the remainder of the body code belong together.

A generic Sierra 1500 badge does not resolve any of those columns. Confirm model year and body from the build information, then use the matching guide column rather than selecting a value by visual resemblance.

Regular Cab standard and long beds differ by 18.76 inches

Both Regular Cab drive rows publish 210.97 inches with the standard bed and 229.73 inches with the long bed. Their displayed wheelbases are 126 and 140 inches respectively, and their box-floor lengths are 79.44 and 98.20 inches.

The shared 81.15-inch vehicle-width figure does not make the bodies interchangeable. Parking length, axle spacing and usable floor length change together, while height and ground-clearance details still follow the 2WD or 4WD cell.

Double Cab uses the standard bed in the reviewed guide

The 2WD and 4WD Double Cab columns both publish a 147-inch displayed wheelbase, 231.94-inch overall length and 79.44-inch box-floor length. Overall height changes from 75.60 to 75.63 inches and ground clearance from 7.87 to 8.09 inches.

No short- or long-bed Double Cab column appears in this reviewed 2026 matrix. That absence is not a zero and is not permission to transfer a Crew or Regular Cab result.

Crew Cab short and standard beds remain separate

Non-lifted short-bed Crew Cab is 231.92 inches long on a displayed 147-inch wheelbase. The non-lifted 4WD standard-bed Crew Cab is 241.45 inches long on a displayed 157-inch wheelbase, a 9.53-inch length difference in the official table.

The box-floor values move from 69.92 to 79.44 inches. Record the bed before using an exterior or cargo figure, because the cab name alone does not identify either body.

Lifted and AT4X short-bed rows have different envelopes

The lifted short-bed Crew Cab row is 232.90 inches long, 78.35 inches high and publishes 11.10 inches of ground clearance. The lifted AT4X row is 233.96 inches long, 78.65 inches high and publishes 11.50 inches of clearance.

Both use the TK10543 body code, but the guide gives them separate headers and values. Keep the AT4X identity attached to its column instead of treating every factory-lifted short-bed Crew Cab as one size.

The lifted standard-bed Crew Cab is the longest reviewed row

GM publishes 242.45 inches of overall length, 78.24 inches of height and 10.97 inches of ground clearance for the lifted 4WD standard-bed Crew Cab. Its displayed wheelbase is 157 inches with a 3,989-mm companion value.

The non-lifted version is 241.45 inches long, 75.40 inches high and 7.97 inches clear. Those one-inch length and three-inch height/clearance changes must stay attached to the lift row.

Official inch and metric displays contain two rounding quirks

The order guide displays wheelbase inches as whole numbers while supplying metric values such as 3,745, 3,748, 3,988 and 3,989 mm. This page preserves those displayed pairs instead of converting the rounded inch field back into a false exact millimetre result.

The U.S. and Canadian matrices match except that lifted short-bed box height displays as 22.40 inches in the U.S. guide and 22.42 inches in Canada; both show 569 mm. The discrepancy is retained rather than silently normalized.

Pickup-box dimensions follow short, standard and long bodies

The guide publishes 69.92 inches of inside floor length for the short bed, 79.44 inches for the standard bed and 98.20 inches for the long bed. Inside width between wheelhousings is 50.62–50.63 inches and wall-to-wall box width is 71.40 inches.

These are inside-box dimensions, not overall body dimensions. A tonneau, liner, divider, tool box, cap or wheelhouse can change usable space, so measure the installed cargo system when fit is tight.

Nominal bed names are not measured floor lengths

Short, standard and long are selection labels. The corresponding floor rows are 69.92, 79.44 and 98.20 inches, so a buyer should not substitute a nominal six-, six-and-a-half- or eight-foot label when a rack, camper or cargo item needs an exact interface.

Use the OEM floor, height and width entries for initial screening, then verify tailgate, wheelhouse, rail, liner and installed-accessory clearances on the actual truck.

Cab interior measurements change by body and lift row

Regular Cab publishes 43.11 inches of front headroom, 66.02 inches of shoulder room, 60.90 inches of hip room and 44.53 inches of legroom. Standard Double Cab adds 39.88 inches of rear headroom and 35.24 inches of rear legroom.

Vehicle width is not mirror-to-mirror width

The reviewed matrix publishes 81.15–81.24 inches as vehicle width but does not label a mirror-open or mirror-folded span. It also does not promise clearance for steps, flares, racks, antennas or other installed equipment.

Wheelbase is axle spacing, while overall length includes both body overhangs. The guide's displayed 126-, 140-, 147-, 148- and 157-inch wheelbase rows help distinguish bodies but do not publish turning diameter.

A dock, switchback or parking structure needs steering and swept-path information as well as length and width. Do not convert axle spacing into an invented turning-circle result.

Upfit geometry needs the current body-builder drawing

Diesel availability does not create a separate body size

GMC's 2026 product page shows the 3.0L Duramax as available or standard on specified trims, but the dimension selector is organized by cab, bed, drive and lift identity rather than by engine. Do not attach every body column to the diesel merely because the engine appears in the lineup.

Confirm the engine and trim separately for a candidate truck. This guide supplies body geometry, not a Canadian VIN decoding result, engine fitment guarantee or diesel-specific weight rating.
