Ask for the original complaint, diagnostic findings, performed work and outcome. If the same symptom returned, determine what the subsequent investigation established. A long list of replaced parts can still leave the cause uncertain. Conversely, a well documented repair can give a buyer more useful information than an unsupported assertion that the truck has never needed anything.
For an unresolved cold-start concern in a defined 2017–2019 L5P, GM's 19-NA-108 describes one specific possibility under stated diagnostic conditions. Dependability for the next job includes the equipment required to complete it.
Dually condition and completed bodies deserve focused inspection
Inspect the complete tire and wheel arrangement rather than the most visible outside surfaces alone. Ask the technician to assess condition, suitability, wear and accessible clearances using the correct vehicle and tire information. The fact that a truck is a dually does not establish that the installed tires, wheels or any later modifications are appropriate.
