Measure usable space, not a listing nickname
Measure the inside bed length with the tailgate closed and note wheel-well intrusion, toolbox position and bed accessories. For a camper, slide-in unit or commercial insert, use its manufacturer's required measurements and installation instructions. A nominal bed name can conceal a meaningful fit difference.

A pickup bed, utility body and flatbed require different fit checks even when their outside lengths seem similar. Photograph mounting points and identify the body manufacturer where applicable. If accessories occupy the front of the bed, measure around them rather than assuming advertised bed length remains fully usable.
